Sprinter side steps

We worked with a local fabrication shop to come up with our take on a Sprinter side step. We didn’t love any of the steps out there for various reasons so we took a stab at designing our own. We wanted a step that was rugged enough to take a beating but more aesthetically pleasing than some of the industrial looking options on the market. We’re pretty happy with how they turned out. The process from design to finished product seemed daunting at first. However, the design / fabrication company helped us every step of the way. Our first prototype had a handful of small issues that needed some attention. We tweaked tubing size, bracket size, bracket location, and logo placement. After 5 or 6 sets we felt like we had things pretty much dialed in. We landed on lightweight aluminum for the tubing, laser cut aluminum for the tread plate, and heavy duty steel for the brackets. We felt like this was a good use of these two materials. Topped it off with a powder coat finish for durability. Each set ships with all the hardware you will need for the install. A couple of things that set our steps apart: The tread plate is broke and wraps up to connect the lower and top tubes. Nice wide step platform, Brackets on the under side of the van mount to inner wall of van and pinch weld with no cross members going into to van framing. This keeps the factory warranty in place and allows you to use the voids under the van for things like grey water tanks. Install is fairly simple (see the video below). These are online now and we would love to get more of these out in the world. Made in Arkansas
